(New York, NY) July 4, 2022: The World Jewish Restitution Organization (WJRO) welcomes the announcement by President Isaac Herzog and Polish President Andrzej Duda of restoring a Polish ambassador in Israel and an Israeli ambassador in Poland.
Mark Weitzman, WJRO Chief Operating Officer, issued the following statement:
“We welcome the restoration of diplomatic relations between Israel and Poland. This is an important step and one that we hope will lead to further positive progress on remaining issues and strengthen the relationship between Poland, Israel, and the Jewish community.”
